Environmental Impact Assessment ProjectsEnvironmental Impact Assessment (further EIA) is compulsory procedure for any kinds of economic and other activity, which may directly or indirectly affect the environment and health of the population. EIA projects on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan are carried out in conformity with the Environmental Code of RK that came into force on 9 January 2007 and with other legislative and standard regulations of RK. The projects are prepared in accordance with the “Guidelines on Environmental Impact Assessment of the Planned Economic and Other Activity in the Course of Development of Preplanned, Planned, Preproject and Project Documentation” ratified by the order of the Minister of Environmental Protection of RK ¹ 204-p of 28 June 2007. CRS and GIS “Terra” Ltd. carries out the following stages of EIA: · Review of environmental condition (the assessment of the territory which is done to justify the optimal choice of the site for facility location, Declaration of Intent); · Preliminary Environmental Impact Assessment (preliminary EIA); · Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA); · Section “Environmental Protection”. Environmental Impact Assessment includes the detailed analysis of all aspects of impact of objects and facilities of the planned economic activity on the environment including on: - Air; - Water resources; - Mineral resources; - Land resources and soil; - Plants; The EIA project provides the characteristic of production and consumption waste and its environmental impact assessment as well as the characteristic of the social and economic situation and assessment of environmental risk of the planned activity. CRS and GIS “Terra” Ltd. has state licenses of implementation of this kind of works and submits the approved documents to the Ministry of Environmental Protection for state environmental examination. |
